Aluminium-zirconium master alloy

Zirconium serves as an alloying additive for obtaining high-strength wrought aluminum alloys. The use of an aluminum-zirconium master alloy makes it possible to successfully modify aluminum alloys. The addition of Zr prevents grain growth at elevated temperatures, improves weldability, and reduces corrosion susceptibility and cooling rate sensitivity during the quenching process.
