ORION-SPETCSPLAV-GATCHINA LLC FOUNDED IN 2003

Orion-Spetcsplav-Gatchina LLC founded in 2003 as an enterprise for the production of aluminum-based master alloys. Already in 2004, having been convinced of the high level of demand for master alloys of its own production, it was decided to significantly expand the capacity (up to 1000 tons per month), for which advanced induction furnaces and related equipment from leading world manufacturers were purchased.

Due to increased competition with suppliers of imported briquetted master alloys (alloying tablets) in the domestic market of the Russian Federation, in 2006 it was decided to build a Powder shop and purchase equipment for mixing and pressing powders. Simultaneously with the expansion of the product range due to the entry of Orion-Spetcsplav-Gatchina LLC into foreign markets and the tightening of end-user requirements for the accuracy of the chemical composition of the shipped alloys, an analytical complex ARL  was also purchased and put into operation.

Stable growth of sales volumes in the period 2007-2008 of both master alloys and alloys, and briquetted master alloys, became a prerequisite for the purchase in 2009 of an additional imported press in the Powder Shop. Also in 2009, in order to further expand the nomenclature of the company for ferroalloys and nickel- and copper-based alloys, unique induction furnaces for melting heat-resistant materials were purchased.

In addition to measures aimed at improving the efficiency of the enterprise, increasing the volume of production and the list of products, in order to take care of staff and the environment, an additional integrated furnace gas filtration system of the Italian company Termoventiltecnica was installed in early 2011. In order to strengthen quality control of manufactured alloys and master alloys, ferroalloys, powder materials at the production stage, control of finished products, as well as to introduce new technologies into production, a new powerful X-ray fluorescence spectrometer from ARL was purchased in 2013.

Our company has a well-established flexible production process and reliable equipment that allows us to produce master alloys and alloys based on Al, Mg, Cu, Ni, briquetted ligatures based on Fe, Mn, Cr, Ti, Cu, Ni, Mo oxide, ferroalloys (FeNi, FeTi, FeW, FeMo, FeNb, etc.), as well as secondary and primary remelts of various heat-resistant steels and alloys. At the moment, our company is one of the few manufacturers of ligatures in the CIS with ISO9001:2000 certification.

The main consumers of our products are traditionally

  • Manufacturers of various alloyed alloys based on Al, Mg, Cu, Ni.
  • Manufacturers of aluminum packaging for food and other industries.
  • Manufacturers of parts by injection molding and in coquille.
  • Manufacturers of aluminum profiles and rolled products.
  • Manufacturers of various grades of steel (including alloyed) and heat-resistant alloys.

A special place at the enterprise is occupied by the engineering service and the spectral analysis laboratory. The laboratory has modern equipment for studying the metal structure of finished products, control tests of products and input control of raw materials. Engineers and laboratory assistants are constantly working on the development of new types of products, actively participate in the constant search and implementation of advanced technological processes, analyze the indicators of production and technical activities of production. The engineering and technical staff of the enterprise, together with the laboratory, maintains close contact with many research institutes and higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation.

The ISO 9001:2000 management system introduced at the enterprise in 2005 defined the company's policy in the field of quality

  • The orientation of the company's activities to the interests of the consumer, the establishment of mutually beneficial and long-term relationships with suppliers of raw materials.
  • Development and implementation of our own unique production technologies.
  • Continuous improvement of production technology.
  • Control over strict compliance with the established production technology and requirements for the quality of finished products.
